List of prisoners from Paoli Battle and a list of newly promoted field officers.

This is a list of men who were left behind do to their grievous wounds after the Paoli Battle to be taken prisoner by the British. These men will be sent to Carlisle and after there they will be put into new companies raised.
On the back of the letter is a list of newly promoted field officers.

List of the Prisoners taken 20th Sept. Near the Paoli (which is not in confinement with the Enemy) Belonging to the 7th P____ Regiment

Sergant Wilson dead of his wounds Those_man_was so badly

John Trible? is not under any Parole one of our surgeons
James Lee only give a Receipt for them but it’s like
George Bleakley they are looked upon as Prisoners of War.

I proposed to General Wayne sending them to Carlisle then to be Inrawled in one of the
Companies which is Raised or a Rising to Guard the stores and to do Duty with those
Companies until they are Exchanged to draw their pay [illeg] and such necessary cloathing as can be got at the Place by this means they will be assaving to the Continent and we will know where to find them when exchanged the General approved of the scheam and will give under accordingly. I expect what is here of them will be
Sent off in a Day or Two and the others can be found.
